Alternative Democracy

A multi-party democracy, with all its benefits,is now crumbling in India. The reason is not simple but the basic cause is a dearth of ideas.Alternative politics has died, its only vote-bank politics. At such troubling times,we must now make some radical changes in our political system.
A two party system,as in many other democracies,is a viable option. And for maintaing the rights of different regions and cultures, other parties should be allowed to function as well. But they must cling to one of the two parties on national issues. This won't give them a chance to black-mail the whole country keeping in my mind only a small election gain. But off course, internal democracy within the major two parties must be strengthed so that all voices are heard within a party.Voting on all issues and a transparent voting must be conducted to take decisions on all issues. All the allise should have equal right to vote in this forum.Even if the outcome is against the wishes of central leadership and thick poilticians, the whole party including its allies must go forward with that outcome.
Its a hypothetical approach, but off course, this idea has been developed by a single mind.If important and concerning figures join their hands, another alternate democrcay can surely come into force. And this is the dire need of the hour.
